In the symbolic alphabet of Subirachs, “Cap, cor i carn” (meaning “head, heart and flesh”) define the totality of the human being, coinciding with the three parts of the soul of Plato.

To symbolize the mind, heart, and sex, Subirachs introduced three equilateral triangles, some geometric shapes which became symbolic elements.

Subirachs, when representing and interpreting Athena, more than 20 years ago, associates it with intelligence, using a figure which has become an integral part of his personal iconography.

Goddess of wisdom, science, and justice, Athena was one of the most represented deities in Greek art and their symbolism exerted a profound influence on their own thinking of that culture, especially in the concepts of justice, wisdom and the social function of culture and arts, whose reflexes are perceptible until today in all of the Occident.

Values and concepts with which contemporary women will be easily identified,
especially those engaged in the fields of Justice and wisdom, clearly linked to the
mythological deity of Athena.

Diosa de la sabiduría, las ciencias y la justicia, Atenea fue una de las deidades más representadas en el arte griego y su simbología ejerció una profunda influencia sobre el propio pensamiento de aquella cultura, en especial en los conceptos relativos a la justicia, la sabiduría y la función social de la cultura y las artes, cuyos reflejos son perceptibles hasta nuestros días en todo el Occidente.
